Refund & Cancellation Policy

1. Overview
This Refund & Cancellation Policy outlines the terms under which subscriptions to Movement Atlas may be cancelled and the conditions under which refunds may or may not be issued. By subscribing to our Service, you agree to the terms set out in this policy.
2. Subscription Cancellation
- You may cancel your Movement Atlas subscription at any time through your account settings or by contacting our support team at [email protected].
- Upon cancellation, your subscription will remain active until the end of the current billing period (monthly or annual). You will continue to have full access to the Service until that date.
- After the billing period ends, your account will be downgraded and you will lose access to premium features.
- We recommend exporting any data you wish to retain before your subscription expires.
3. Refund Policy — Subscriptions (Software Service)
This Section 3 governs subscription fees paid to Movement Atlas LLC for access to the Movement Atlas software platform. Marketplace bookings (classes, sessions, memberships purchased through a business operating on the platform) are governed separately by Section 4.
Important: No Refunds on Subscription Fees
All subscription fees paid to Movement Atlas are non-refundable, except where required by mandatory consumer protection law in your jurisdiction (see Section 3.5 for EU/UK consumers; Indian consumers retain all non-waivable rights under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019). This includes monthly subscription fees, annual subscription fees, and any add-on purchases. We do not provide full or partial refunds for any subscription period, including unused portions of a billing cycle.
Specifically:
- Monthly Subscriptions: No refunds are issued for any monthly billing period, whether partially or fully used. If you cancel mid-month, you retain access until the end of that month but will not receive a refund for the remaining days.
- Annual Subscriptions: No refunds are issued for annual subscriptions. If you cancel an annual subscription, you retain access until the end of the 12-month billing period but no partial or prorated refund will be issued for the unused months.
- Add-Ons & Upgrades: Fees for add-on features, plan upgrades, or additional services are non-refundable.
- Setup or Onboarding Fees: Any one-time setup, onboarding, or customization fees are non-refundable once the service has been initiated.
3.5 EU/UK 14-Day Cooling-Off Period
If you are a consumer resident in the European Union or the United Kingdom, you have a statutory right under the EU Consumer Rights Directive (2011/83/EU) and the UK Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 to withdraw from your subscription contract within 14 calendar days of the date you entered into the contract, without giving any reason. To exercise this right, contact us at [email protected] with the subject line "Cooling-Off Withdrawal" and include your account email and order date. We will refund the subscription fee in full within 14 days using the original payment method. Note: by accepting that we begin providing the digital service immediately upon subscription, you acknowledge that this right of withdrawal lapses once full performance has begun with your express consent. Where withdrawal is exercised after partial performance, a proportionate amount may be retained.
4. Refund Policy — Marketplace Bookings
This Section 4 governs marketplace bookings — payments made by end-users (students/customers) to attend classes, sessions, or events offered by businesses, instructors, or studios operating on the Movement Atlas platform. Movement Atlas processes these payments on behalf of operators and applies the standardised refund matrix below uniformly across the marketplace.
4.1 Standard Booking Refund Matrix

4.2 How Cancellation Time Is Measured
Cancellation windows are measured from the scheduled class start time displayed at the time of booking, in the time zone of the class location. Cancellations submitted through the Movement Atlas app or web platform are timestamped server-side; the server timestamp is authoritative.
4.3 Wallet Credit
Platform credit issued under this matrix expires 90 days from the date of issue and may be used toward any marketplace booking. Credit is non-transferable, non-refundable to cash (except where required by law), and not exchangeable for currency.
4.4 Operator Overrides
Operators may offer terms more generous than the standard matrix (for example, a longer free-cancellation window or a partial cash refund within 24 hours). Operators may not offer terms that are less favourable to end-users than the matrix above. Any operator-specific override is disclosed at the point of booking and recorded against the booking record.
4.5 Disputes
If you believe a refund decision is incorrect (for example, attendance was misrecorded), contact [email protected] within 14 days of the class. We will investigate, review system logs and operator records, and respond within 5 business days. Movement Atlas's determination is final for marketplace booking refunds.
4.6 Refund Timing
Cash refunds are returned to the original payment method within 5–10 business days. The exact time for the refund to reflect in your account depends on your bank or card issuer.
4.7 India Consumer Protection Carveout
Nothing in this Section 4 limits or excludes any non-waivable right or remedy available to you under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019 or any other applicable Indian consumer law. Where Indian law affords you a stronger remedy than this matrix, that stronger remedy applies.
5. Exceptions
In addition to the rules in Sections 3 and 4, refunds may be considered on a case-by-case basis under the following exceptional circumstances:
- Duplicate Charges: If you were charged more than once for the same billing period or booking due to a system error, we will refund the duplicate charge promptly.
- Service Unavailability: If the Service experiences prolonged downtime (exceeding 72 consecutive hours) due to issues on our end, a partial credit may be issued at our discretion.
- Legal Requirements: Where applicable consumer protection laws in your jurisdiction require us to provide a refund, we will comply with those requirements.
6. Payment Processing
All payments are processed through PayPal and Razorpay. Refunds, when applicable, will be processed back to the original payment method within 5-10 business days. The actual time for the refund to reflect in your account may vary depending on your bank or card issuer.
7. End-User Refunds (For Businesses)
Movement Atlas is a platform used by businesses to manage their operations. If you are a customer or student of a business that uses Movement Atlas, refunds for marketplace bookings (classes, sessions, memberships) are governed by the standardised refund matrix in Section 4 and applied uniformly across the platform. For matters outside that matrix, businesses may set additional policies — but those policies cannot reduce the protections in Section 4. For non-marketplace services purchased directly from a business, contact that business directly.

9. Changes to This Policy
We reserve the right to update this Refund & Cancellation Policy at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
