Accessibility Statement

Last updated: February 14, 2026

Our Commitment

Movement Atlas is committed to ensuring digital accessibility for people of all abilities. We are continually improving the user experience for everyone, and applying the relevant accessibility standards to ensure we provide equal access to all users.

We are working toward conformance with WCAG 2.1 Level AA. While remediation is in progress, some pages and components may not yet meet all of the criteria described in the "Measures We Take" section below. If you encounter an accessibility barrier, please contact us using the details under "Feedback" and we will respond promptly.

Standards

We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA. These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible for people with disabilities and more user-friendly for everyone.

Measures We Take

  • Semantic HTML: We use proper heading hierarchy, landmarks, and ARIA attributes to support assistive technologies.
  • Keyboard Navigation: All interactive elements are accessible via keyboard. Focus indicators are visible on all focusable elements.
  • Colour Contrast: Text and interactive elements maintain sufficient colour contrast ratios against their backgrounds.
  • Alternative Text: Images include descriptive alt text. Decorative images are appropriately marked.
  • Form Labels: All form fields have associated labels or ARIA attributes for screen reader compatibility.
  • Responsive Design: The platform adapts to various screen sizes and supports text resizing up to 200% without loss of content or functionality.
  • Motion Preferences: We respect the prefers-reduced-motion media query to reduce animations for users who prefer minimal motion.
  • Language: Pages declare the primary language attribute to assist screen readers.

Known Limitations

While we strive to meet WCAG 2.1 Level AA, some areas of the platform may have limitations:

  • Third-party embedded content (payment forms, social login popups) may not be fully accessible and is governed by the respective provider's accessibility practices.
  • Some older uploaded user content (images, documents) may lack alternative text descriptions.
  • Live video conferencing features rely on Twilio's accessibility implementation.

Assistive Technology Compatibility

Movement Atlas is designed to be compatible with popular assistive technologies including screen readers (NVDA, JAWS, VoiceOver), screen magnifiers, speech recognition software, and alternative input devices.
