Movement Atlas is committed to complying with the California Consumer Privacy Act ("CCPA") and the California Privacy Rights Act ("CPRA"). This page explains the rights California residents have regarding their personal information and how to exercise them.
Your Rights Under CCPA
Under the California Consumer Privacy Act, California residents have the following rights:
Right to Know / Access
You have the right to know what personal information we have collected about you. Upon request, we will provide you with a summary of all personal information we hold. We will respond within 45 days and notify you via email if additional time is needed.
Right to Delete
You have the right to request the deletion of your personal information. Upon request, we will delete the personal information we have received from or obtained about you. We will complete the deletion within 45 days and notify you if additional time is needed. Information not covered by the CCPA may be retained.
Right to Opt-Out of Sale
You have the right to opt out of the sale of your personal information. Movement Atlas does not sell personal information to third parties. However, you can manage your "Do Not Sell" preferences through our Privacy Preferences page.
Right to Non-Discrimination
We will not discriminate against you for exercising any of your CCPA rights. We will not deny goods or services, charge different prices, provide a different level of quality, or suggest any of these actions as a result of your exercising your rights.
Right to Correct
You have the right to request the correction of inaccurate personal information that we maintain about you. You can update much of your information directly through your Account Settings.
Right to Limit Use of Sensitive Information
You have the right to limit the use and disclosure of sensitive personal information to what is necessary to perform our services.
Categories of Personal Information Collected
In the preceding 12 months, we may have collected the following categories of personal information:
- Identifiers (name, email, phone number, IP address)
- Commercial information (transaction history, class bookings, subscription records)
- Internet or network activity (browsing history, search history, platform interactions)
- Geolocation data (approximate location for class discovery)
- Professional or employment information (for instructor and business accounts)
- Audio/visual information (profile photos, uploaded media)
How We Use Personal Information
We use personal information for the business purposes described in our Privacy Policy, including providing our services, processing payments, communicating with you, improving our platform, ensuring security, and complying with legal obligations.
Sale and Sharing of Personal Information
Movement Atlas does not sell your personal information to third parties for monetary consideration. We may share certain information with service providers who assist us in operating our platform, but these providers are contractually bound to use information only for the purposes we specify.
